The word, Trumpian" jumped out at me. What will we mean very clearly in the future as Trumpian? Of course, it will be an insult, a put-down, and explanation for bad taste and excess, but how will it become a shortcut for...despotic president, insane, dangerous, powerful, greedy, criminal, racist, misogynist ... there are so many things right now that are Trumpian, but we will need to narrow it down, because Hegsethian is already abject incompetence, Bondian is female cruelty, Rubioian means little dick, Vanceian remains to seen but right now: a hollow person, Millerian - well that one is already taken by Nazism. You get the picture.
Good story today, chaotic, like its subject matter.
It’s utterly terrifying how incompetent the Trump administration is.
Initially, I thought we could count on our large federal bureaucracy with its millions of seasoned employees to continue safely steering the ship of state regardless of the incompetence of our president and his Cabinet of clowns.
But the Trump admin has fired countless essential employees, ignored its own experts, and defunded the staff and programs of so many agencies that our bureaucracy is now riddled with gaps.
Our ship of state is now moth eaten, weakened in ways both large and small. So far, the inevitable mishaps have been expensive and sometimes deadly but not apocalyptic.
Yet we can’t forget that the reckless, impulsive, demented Trump carries the codes to the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.
