The American Chestnut. Almost wiped out by a blight. It's very very spot on. We are being wiped out by a blight. And yet, there are a few trees, still able to seed. To sprout. With new life and new beginnings. Hopefully, what you write about will kill itself without killing all of us. Blight or not, keep fighting. Plant the new seeds.
Most of this makes me sick. However I am excited about your chestnut trees and keep my fingers crossed they will grow to adulthood and spread lovely shade for you. Thank you.....we certainly are not hearing this from any mainstream media that I can find. At one time it would have been 60 minutes pointing out the Stablecoin trilogy. I try and get friends and family concerned and...blank looks! Maybe it is too complicated? I often quote you to my family that can only absorb news in bits and pieces! Lately, every time I read about our ‘illustrious’ first family and their machinations, I feel like I need a hot shower with a scrub brush and strong soap. I feel contaminated because I live on the same planet. I’m not sure the planet has enough hot water left to make me feel clean.
When this house of cards falls in on itself, the big moneyed backers will cry for, and get, bailouts. We, the working class will be expected to pony up the tax dollars to give them those bailouts….again. The difference this time is they are taking the entire world down with them.
