What's the saying, something like "Those who forget the past are destined to repeat it"--?

Trump hasn't forgotten the past. He never studied it, read it, learned about it.

Perhaps ignorance plays the same role as forgetfulness. Coming up next, a double-feature of repeats: Versailles Masquerade and Robber Barons of the Gilded Age.

Addicted to sadism and rage, Trump's "leadership" eats our souls in small bites. His sadism infuses a Pavlovian brain stem reflex of hate and violence. He is not only tone-deaf to people's suffering and pain but also finds pleasure in dominating and inflicting harm.

His administration is a Rorschach exposure of vile, human depravity.

We have witnessed how easily a society can deteriorate into amoral and sadistic depravity as holocausts, ethnic cleansings, and genocides reduces human consciousness to mindless brainstem acceptance and capitulation.

Our historical legacy has hardwired liberty, justice and freedom into our cultural soul. A phoenix will rise from these MAGA ashes with a renewed commitment to our cherished democracy. We will prevail!

The true spirit in America is to be free is it not? Can we stop what appears to be unstoppable? Will we let them carry the ballot boxes away and shoot the protestors? Will we have the will to resist against armed soldiers in our homes? When we watch our neighbors being taken away because of an opinion on a social network, will we open our door and say no, or will we draw the curtain tighter? Who are these people? Who's in charge? Resist now or Russel Vought's shadow oligarches gonna be running things legit and in your face. Trump gone, Vance an early sacrifice, then who rises? Erika Kirk? Nick Fuentes? Tucker?

And this? Right here? Created by AI Grok.

I agree and share your outrage. The courts are slowly pushing back. Michael Popok of legalAF has a terrific substack series that addresses the progress being made in the courts.

This timeline is like if 1933 and 1984 had a baby and then put it on steroids.

The tasteless, gaudy, sadistic triumphalism of the Trump inner circle as they celebrate themselves echoes the grand parties of Hitler’s inner circle, also populated with mediocre, depraved climbers and enablers. No glitter, excess or trappings of wealth could make them grand and enviable no matter how hard they tried to be that.

What pisses me off, is that he says "they are only hurting their own people...". You're the f-ing president of all the people dumbass. It is just more evidence of how totally unfit he is to even exist.

Trump and his cohorts have gone beyond immorality into vicious, vile, selfish and treachery. I hate that there is so much joy in their blatant disregard for the circumstances of anyone other than themselves.

Profound, pathological lack of empathy as in doesn't give a shit. He can't. He doesn't have the right genes. I liked this reminder from Mary, "they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money." Thank you F. Scott F.

A 1920’s party seemed on point. 1929-1941. The longest and deepest downturn in the history of the United States. Unfortunately it looks like the US are going to repeat that bit of history as well. The Great AI Bubble chatter gets louder every day.
