so imagine yourself 20 years ago and someone showed you his speech... what would you have thought? if someone showed you the articles from the headlines of the past several months... who would have thought that we would have been brought down to this level of corruption, misinformation, buffoonery, racism, fear and hatred... what must have been going on in the minds of the rest of the world listening to this???

You nailed it. I love my country, but Trump is a cruel joke; an embarrassment. The shame isn’t Trump, it is those who cannot accept the hard truth—Trump is a clear and present danger. Our children will suffer his idiocy from health care to foreign policy—none—to economics.

So so fricking embarrassing. (I heard via HCR's letter that “A senior foreign diplomat posted at the U.N. texts me,” Tharoor wrote, “‘This man is stark, raving mad. Do Americans not see how embarrassing this is?’”)

I wonder what that senior Diplomat thinks we can do in addition to what we are already doing. We are the laughing stock globally. But we have to keep protesting, hold our representatives accountable as more Americans realize they too were screwed and end up voting for the Constitution in 2026.

Unfortunately his band of merry sycophants, who could be seen in the audience beaming with pride, seem to be on board with all the lies. I really hoped that someone would rise up and walk out on his tirade, but alas, all I could see was a few who refused to clap.

Trump significance is wielding threats , the doddering demented Grampa….you just smile , “yes Grampa, of course Grampa “, don’t argue or try to correct.. go along with the fantasy - yes he solved the wars,he is the greatest _ _ _ fill in the blanks , yes the economy is booming and run the ‘household’ like you want ..or Peter wants or Steven wants .

Fits the whole spectacle well, huh?

The staff is well trained specifically Cherry Picked, and moneyed into place… guardrails and watchdogs are gone, fired, dismissed, resigned. The projection is ..to the hypnotized , the cult, the patsies…albeit subliminal ..orders, some hit men, some bribes, call it what you want..it design is well outlined, executed, and history. “I was just following orders”.

Nope most didn’t see it coming.

The one if by sea and two if by land(ers) weren’t believed, and evidence was in a stadium with grandstanding.

They are his.

It’s a different world,other countries have survived.

You know what to do.

Vote, protest, love🫶

Well said. The first part of your post sounds like conversations I have with a much loved family member. Dealing with mental illness with elderly stinks! But this shouldn’t be part of politics and having a group of people exploiting that is upsetting and sad. Dementia is a slow, encroaching illness and the effects wreck havoc to anyone in its path. All of us are seeing this and experiencing this in real time.

That “display” at the UN was asinine, and just showed how batshit crazy he truly is. The entire world sat back and watched the rantings of a deeply disturbed narcissistic-sociopath-psychopath that just so happens to occupy the Oval Office.

If there were any illusions for all the countries in the UN of who Trump truly is and not a raving lunatic, well let’s just say he confirmed those illusions were wrong. What’s disheartening is that the entire globe has a better handle on what Trump is and the whole reality of his persona better than what 39% of the population in the U.S. who still approve according to polls…

As a friend who reached out after that UN performance from abroad said, “Jesus Trump is more dangerous than the village idiot and your country voted him back in!” My response, “He’s worse than the village idiot, he has the power and loyalists to destroy not just the U.S. but all around the globe, if we remain silent. He’s far worse this second go around.” My friend’s response “What a fu*king mess”.. Ya think…

As my friend went on he said, “If a stopped escalator escalates him into this much of a furor, heaven help us all if the elevator he’s in breaks and stops between floors!” … Yep you just got to find the humorous side of our reality.

I knew before ever reading one word about the UN speech this morning by the conman that the picture presented to the rest of the global community would be one of lies, bombast, and insanity.

At 80, I am old enough to have heard speeches from around the globe and the leaders on multiple sides of the American spectrum but have not felt ashamed to be an American until the advent of this piece of trash and his organized crime zealots. It is so tiring.

80 also, and observing the diminishment of our great country by this dangerous demagogue is frightening and intensely sad. It will take a generation or more to repair the damage.

Imagine the degree of reality-disconnection one must have to stand up there and spew such nonsense while the entire world looks at you with disbelief, disrespect, and derision. This is not a well man.

Well said! We are encumbered with a president that is bat shit crazy, a GOP dominated Congress in a politically induced coma, and a SCOTUS rewriting the constitution to include a revised Article II declaring the unitary theory of the executive branch.

As this surreal nightmare evolves, the rot is quickly engulfing our remaining sanity.

Trump's delusions clearly meet neurological/psychiatric criteria of end stage malignant narcissism with pre-frontal lobe deterioration and cognitive impairment. Amendment 25 anyone??
