Thanks for another well written piece, Mary. The TODDLER comparison is spot-on! However, it’s very sad that we in the USA must keep plugging along with this inept individual/ administration, NO thanks to the spineless Senate and House MAGA enablers. Meanwhile, so many are hurting in every walk of life, along with so many casualties due to a needless war created by this toddler in charge! 😡
We just got back from the No Kings protest. Our fellow marchers agreed that there were probably 10,000 of us. We marched for 3+ miles which for two 70 year olds is a nice hike. Some thoughts randomly: the demographic was different than the last marches. A lot more 30 and 40 somethings, more blue collar folks and no people of color. The mood was different too. Angrier. More urgent. We marched. But we need to do more. What? We donate. We call our representatives. It keeps getting worse.
Shanley, you are absolutely correct: this administration had no reason to expect help from anyone with this monster of their own creation. I have to blame the lot, because they are all complicit, especially looney tunes Hegseth, and Article II, section 4, should be initiated against the lot. Alas, since we do not have a functioning congress, that's not going to happen.
